MEET MANAYNAY

Hi ya’ll. It’s Manisha aka Manaynay.

I initially thought my friends were completely crazy for doing this fitness challenge, but after thinking about my own fitness journey, I knew I could use some serious motivation!

Work
Eat
Sleep
Repeat.

This basically sums up my life. I’ve been working full time, finishing my degree part time, and spending the rest of my time getting involved in extra-curricular activities. By the time I come home, I have no energy to cook myself a decent meal or go to the gym because all I can think of is my lovely bed. It’s like an endless cycle of doom that allows me to make up excuses for not being healthy simply because I just “don’t have time”.

I absolutely LOVE food and have a tough time controlling myself when it comes to choosing what I eat. I have a crazy sweet tooth and tend to have that YOLO mentality when I see my favorite desserts in front of me.. it’s a tough life. I’ve never really been the athletic/sporty type and have fully taken advantage of being able to eat anything I want without gaining a point… well, my metabolism has finally caught up and my body is seeking revenge for every unhealthy meal and every missed workout. Over the past year, my sister went through a complete fitness transformation and I did exactly the opposite. I have finally decided to take her advice and will be stealing the best workout tips from her.

The goal is to realize that everyday is NOT cheat day! I will be physically active at least three times a week for an hour each (or multiple full body 30 minute workouts). This can be after work or in the morning – 6am workouts FTW! I’ll be reducing the amount of bread, pasta and rice from my diet and of course, less chocolates, desserts and all that sugary goodness. The goal is to make those jeans and dresses from a year ago fit me again!

Excited for the next 13 weeks and glad to have a group of crazies to do this with! Keep us motivated!
